Julii Sharp, new single and music video

‘Pirate in the Room’ is the first single from the album Burning Line, due out on 24 October.

The song blends playful energy with more subdued emotion. It subtly echoes the figure of a slightly pirate father, left stranded, and offers a luminous reading tinged with melancholy.

Musically, the track marks a clear evolution. While the folk influences of the “Toucan” EP are still present, they are shaken up by a more electric, collective approach. The band's spontaneous studio energy gives the track (and the album) a raw, frontal tone, while retaining nuance.
