The story of Montañita is a model of its kind. Two boys from the same music scene (the legendary one in Clermont Ferrand), a girl whose contribution seems providential, meetings, love at first sight and above all a perfect musical chemistry between these new accomplices, now members of the same group.
This is the story of Alexandre Costa, a former Niandra Lades, who crosses paths with Pascal Mondaz during a recording session, and then Sonia Lavergne, who discovers her singing talents during a stint in the studio. The three became inseparable in 2012. Twelve years on, Dummy Light in the Chaos opens, unsurprisingly, with a track that evokes the strongest of bonds. “We'll Be Bound” sets the scene for an album that celebrates humanity against a backdrop of joyful spleen. Recorded in a form of miraculous improvisation, the album creates a pop harmony on a bed of varied influences.
